State Government Committee To Review Legislative Reduction Proposals

WHAT:                       Pennsylvania House State Government Committee Majority
Chairman Representative Daryl Metcalfe (R-Butler) will convene a public hearing focusing on reducing the size of the Pennsylvania Legislature, with emphasis on the following legislation (House Bills 55-57, 153, 183, 876 and 936).



WHO:                          Prime sponsors who will address the committee on their legislation include: Speaker of the House Sam Smith (R-Jefferson); Rep. Robert Godshall (R-Montgomery); Rep. Rob Kauffman (R-Cumberland); Rep. Mark Mustio (R-Allegheny); and Rep. Mike Reese (R-Westmoreland).


Testifiers will include:  James Reichley, member of the 1968 Commission on Legislative Modernization; Dr. Charles Greenawalt, senior fellow of The Susquehanna Valley Center for Public Policy; Dr. Beverly Cigler, Penn State Harrisburg; John Bell, Pennsylvania Farm Bureau; and Richardson Dilworth, Drexel University.
