House State Government Committee to Pursue Election Integrity Solutions
WHAT: Pennsylvania House State Government Committee Majority Chairman, Representative Daryl Metcalfe (R-Butler), will convene a public hearing to focus on solutions to improve the administration, oversight and integrity of the Commonwealth’s election process.

Specific legislation to be discussed will include: House Bill 1142 (eliminating political material inside election polling centers); House Bill 1371 (criminalizing the circulation and submission of nominating petitions with false signatures); House Bill 1572 (eliminating straight party ballot voting); House Bill 1827 (permitting registered voters to monitor any election district); House Bill 1830 (increasing criminal penalties for voter intimidation); and, House Bill 1835 (allowing registered county electors to fill vacant minority inspector positions).

WHO: Testifiers will include Robert Popper, Senior Attorney, Judicial Watch; Joseph DeFelice, Esq., Executive Director, Philadelphia Republican City Committee; and several prime sponsors of the legislation.
