House State Government Committee to Consider Ban on Taxpayer-Funded Collection of Union Dues

WHAT: House State Government Committee Majority Chairman, Representative Daryl Metcalfe (R-Butler), will convene a public hearing to discuss legislation that would end the union practice of direct payroll deductions to collect dues and political contributions at taxpayers’ expense (House Bill 1507). 

WHO: Testifiers will include representatives from Americans for Prosperity, Commonwealth Foundation, Pennsylvania Manufacturers and Business Association, National Federation of Independent Business, the Association of American Educators, Pennsylvania Manufacturers’ Association, the Heritage Foundation, Pennsylvanians for Union Reform, Associated Builders and Contractors Keystone Chapter, and several others.

WHEN: Thursday, June 5, at 9 a.m.
