Metcalfe to Host Firearms Safety and Rights Seminar
CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP – State Representative Daryl Metcalfe (R-Butler) will host a Firearms Safety and Rights Seminar on Saturday, September 27, at the Middlesex Township Volunteer Fire Company, 130 Browns Hill Road, Valencia.

“Article 1, Section 21 of the Pennsylvania Constitution, clearly states that, ‘the right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the state shall not be questioned,’” said Metcalfe. “The number of law-abiding citizens obtaining concealed carry permits is on the rise. This seminar offers the dual opportunity for both current and prospective permit holders to learn the rights and responsibilities associated with concealed carry and to get the most important questions answered about freely, safely and responsibly exercising your God-given right to keep and bear arms.”

Presenters Butler County District Attorney Richard Goldinger and Butler County Sheriff Michael Slupe will focus on a wide variety of firearms safety and Second Amendment subjects including how to obtain a permit to carry a concealed weapon and other valuable information about state gun laws, including the Castle Doctrine.

Concealed carry license applications through the Butler County Sheriff’s Office will also be available at this event.

Seating is limited and will fill up quickly, so interested individuals should pre-register as soon as possible by contacting Metcalfe’s Cranberry Township district office at (724) 772-3110 by Friday, September 12. Upon RSVP each participant’s seminar time will be confirmed. RSVP preference will be given to residents of the 12th Legislative District.
