Rep. Metcalfe toured a Marcellus Shale drilling rig in southern Butler County.

Pennsylvania is blessed with many natural resources, not just limited to the Marcellus Shale, but also an abundance of coal, timberlands, waterways and even access to a Great Lake.

I am a strong supporter of safe Marcellus Shale natural gas drilling. The Marcellus Shale is a substantial economic generator for the Commonwealth. It will also bring energy independence and family-sustaining jobs to Pennsylvania.
