PA House Environmental Resources and Energy (ERE) Committee Majority Chairman Daryl Metcalfe (R-Butler) will convene a public hearing to receive expert testimony on the potentially negative economic impacts of the Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) proposed biosolids management permitting revisions.
The hearing will feature presentations from Christine Volkay-Hilditch, deputy director of public works – utilities, City of Lancaster; Michael Kyle executive director, Lancaster Area Sewer Authority; Ned Lang, president, Pennsylvania Septage Management Association; William Toffey, executive director, Mid-Atlantic Biosolids Association; and John Uzupis, technical services, Synagro.
