PA House Environmental Resources and Energy (ERE) Committee Majority Chairman Daryl Metcalfe (R-Butler) will convene a public hearing to receive testimony on the benefits, challenges and economics of rare earth mineral extraction.
The hearing will feature presentations from Gale Blackmer, Ph.D., director, Bureau of Geological Survey, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources; Anthony Marchese, chairman, Texas Mineral Resources Corporation; Zeke Moskowitz, chief executive officer, Synergos Holdings; James Taylor, president and Linnea Lueken, research fellow, The Heartland Institute; Sarma Pisupati, Ph.D., director, Penn State University Center for Critical Minerals; and Pete Rozelle, Ph.D., advisor, Penn State University College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, and retired program manager, U.S. Department of Energy.
